Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Development: Develop computational tools and algorithms for analyzing biological networks.
  • Data Integration: Integrate multi-omics datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) to investigate the molecular underpinnings of cancer.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experimental biologists to design, execute, and validate computational models.
  • Scientific Communication: Present research findings at conferences and meetings; prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Project Management: Contribute to ongoing research projects and assist with grant applications.

Requirements

  • Education: PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar. Experience with large-scale data analysis and biological databases.
  • Research Experience: Experience in computational network biology, preferably with a focus on cancer research or systems biology.
  • Other Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cancer genomics and proteomics.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application to biological data.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing environments.
