Research Focus:

The position involves studying molecular mechanisms related to neurobiology and cell signaling pathways. The Rust Lab’s current projects address fundamental questions about cellular functions, disease mechanisms, and neural processes, contributing to broader research themes in physiological chemistry and neuroscience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent research on neurobiological processes.
  • Perform microscopy (including confocal and live-cell microscopy) and molecular biology techniques.
  • Analyze data and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the lab’s ongoing research projects​

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • PhD in Neurobiology, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
  • Required Experience:
    • Proficiency in microscopy and molecular biology techniques.
    • Experience with mouse models is advantageous.
    • Strong publication record with at least one first-author paper in a reputed journal.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German is beneficial but not mandatory​
